Volume Five - The Terry Fox Legend
Volume Five - The Terry Fox Legend
The 'Legend of Terry Fox' was originally written, as part of the 'LOVE 2000 AD' poetry collection by W. Diane Van Zwol, in conjunction with the photograph of the 'Terry Fox Monument' in Thunder Bay, Ontario, taken by Austin Cawlishaw.
The Terry Fox Legend
April 12, 1980...hope began...
Twenty six miles per day, Terry Fox ran.
An athlete, born in Coquitlam, B.C.,
He wanted others to be cancer free.
At eighteen, he’d lost one leg in his fight;
He knew pain and suff’ring, man’s darkest night.
He started at St. John’s, in Newfoundland;
Left foot in the ocean, he took his stand.
Fifty three hundred miles, his goal, that day;
From east coast to west, a dream to relay.
Three thousand, three hundred and thirty nine...
Recurrence of cancer...end of the line.
On June 26, 1982...
The Terry Fox Monument, bronze statue,
Was dedicated, in the memory
Of this young man who fought, courageously.
Love, in its anthem, eternal refrain,
Oft’ goes that extra mile, in spite of pain.
As long as our God has more love to give,
The Terry Fox legend...destined to live.
In Memory of Terrance Stanley Fox
July 28, 1958-June 28, 1981

The End
3. The End
Always remember that the shoreline of 'Love' is infinite or endless and that the concept of 'Love' truly defies definition. 'Love' always surpasses any human real understanding of it.
Love' has miraculous power and it invariably brings healing to the ones who are touched by it, or encounter it in some manner.
Just know that 'Love' also has unlimited potential to bring about change in the lives of human beings, including yours. We all need 'Love' in our lives everyday.
We have been created with the capacity to receive 'Love', but also with the unlimited ability to give 'Love' to others. It has been promised that as surely as you give 'Love' to others, you shall also receive it.

Love Is This
2. Love Is This
Love is this,
A gentle morning breeze teasing the morning dew, glimmering on the early grass of spring.
Love is this,
The laughing eyes and toothless grin of an elderly, gray haired lady, just boarding a bus for home.
Love is this,
The happy glow on the face of a starving child, offered a bowl of rice by her new family.
Love is this,
A healing of an old man's heart and mind, realized as his pain and sorrow slowly disappears with age.
Love is this,
The joy of the unexpected birth of an infant, in the midst of a human tragedy of massive proportions.
Love is this,
The peace and the comfort of a fire, warming a lost and lonely soul, in the midst of a dark forest.
Love is this,
The echo of a word of 'love', resounding through a city of people, displaced by the ravages of a storm.

What Is Love?
What Is Love?
Chapter 1
1. What is Love?
What is Love?
Who really can define,
For if Love is Love,
I claim it now as mine.
What is Love?
Who is there that can know,
For if Love is Love,
Its truth will always show.
What is Love?
What power does it hold,
For if Love is Love,
It never will run cold.
What is Love?
Say where it is you find,
For if Love is Love,
It's wonderful and kind.
What is Love?
It truly can bring peace,
For if Love is Love,
Then war could really cease.
About Amazon Art Reproductions
About Amazon Art Reproductions
Amazon Art Reproductions is a sole proprietorship, owned by W. Diane Van Zwol. The company was registered in the year 1998, in Ontario (Canada), as a home based business.
At the time, Amazon Art Reproductions was promoting poetry, in conjunction with artwork and photography, in local art stores and gift shops in Thunder Bay, Ontario (Canada). Many pieces of poetry were written for specific pieces of artwork and photography, by local artists and photographers.
All of the poems were written on the central theme of 'Love'.
Writing and publishing 'custom' poetry, appeared to present a growing opportunity for the poet to present her work to the public.
The open concept of 'Love' appeared to be appropriate for the turn of the century and quickly came to represent an exciting challenge. Poetry was written in conjunction with various depictions of the local scenery or points of interest.
Amazon Art Reproduction also began producing cards with artwork, photography and poetry, but only in a small way. It became evident how difficult it was to place the picture and the poetry together on cards. Extra computer and printing skills were needed.
The poet also began to recognize the reality that the publication of poetry and prose on the internet was a growing trend and would be an ideal mode of publication. In the year 2000 AD, she began to learn new computer skills and became a certified web designer, publishing poetry on the internet.
The poet also began to take a small business development program, in the year 2001 AD, with the intention of expanding the Amazon Art Reproduction business, to include Webmender (Canada).
No one could have anticipated the reality that the year 2001 AD, would bring about some very serious problems in the USA, on September 11th. A massive terrorist tragedy in New York and in Washington, resulted in many new small businesses being placed temporarily on hold, including this one.
The poet was forced to seek other employment, but continued to write poetry and focused on the theme of 'Love'.
In the year 2005, Amazon Art Reproductions is still a registered business in Ontario (Canada), with numerous ongoing projects, by W. Diane Van Zwol. She has continued to publish poetry whenever possible and continues the theme of 'Love', but is now developing this into 'LOVE 2005' with more serious publication on the internet.

Volume 4
Volume Four: The Power of Love (Copyright 2005 AD)
Excerpts from the LOVE 2000 AD poetry collection written by W. Diane Van Zwol
Please note that this e-book may be printed out at no charge, by anyone wishing to have a copy of it.
Introduction:
While many recognize the value of poetry, few actually know how powerful 'Love' poetry can be in changing people's lives. Very often the poetic word precedes the words of prose and poetry can state in a nutshell, what prose takes forever to state.
Take this small piece of poetry, entitled 'Love' as an example:
Love,
I'll put my hand in yours,
And if you don't let go,
We'll be together forever.
This poem was included in the 'World's Largest Poem For Peace', at the 'International Society of Poets Conference' held in Washington, D.C., in 1995.
All of the 2800 poets present at the Conference, were invited to write a piece of poetry, on a very large scroll, set up in one of the rooms. The scroll was actually a very large roll of paper, that was being unrolled from one end of a table, over several other tables placed end to end, and then re-rolled on the far end of the last table, after the individual pieces of poetry had been written on it.
While it seemed that there were some new pieces of poetry being written on it at that time by the poets, most of the poets appeared to come into the room, with something that was already written on a piece of paper or in a notebook. They either taped their page on the scroll, or stood there and copied the poetry onto the paper. The paper began to be covered with a multiplicity of handwritten texts, with many kinds of different hand writing in many different colours of ink. In itself, it was really quite remarkable to look at.
This particular poem was written on the spur of the moment and included by W. Diane Van Zwol, on that scroll. In 1997, it was adopted as the theme for the 'LOVE 2000 AD' project, which consisted of poetry in conjunction with artwork and photogaphy under the name of 'Amazon Art Reproductions'.
Imagine for a moment how this one little poem could bring peace to a hurting world!
While many people cannot accept religion or other forms of therapy, when they are hurting or suffering, the concept of 'Love' is a unique and universal theme, that holds tremendous healing power. Every culture and nation knows both the concept and the merit of 'Love', in its multiplicity and diversity of expression.
